Rosy-billed Pochards (Netta peposaca) are found from southern Brazil to far southern Argentina and Chile. They prefer freshwater marshes, swamps and lakes and are mostly vegetarian, eating aquatic plants, grasses, sedges and seeds. This clip is of two male Rosy-billed Pochards swimming in Laguna los Palos in southern Chile. A pair of Red-gartered Coots is in swimming in the foreground.
