Media notes
A male Rufous-tailed Plantcutter feeding on grass then flying off. The Rufous-tailed Plantcutter (Phytotoma rara) is found from central to southern Chile and in eastern Argentina. Rufous-tailed Plantcutters are Cotingas, and mainly eat grasses, buds and leaves with some berries and insects as well. This male Rufous-tailed Plantcutter was feeding on Winter Grass (Poa annua) near Lake Pehoe in Torres del Paine National Park in Chilean Patagonia before flying off. Elevation: 1264 m. Date added to IBC: March 14, 2019.
