Media notes
Male Spotted Pardalote was foraging in the crown of a Wandoo, Eucalyptus wandoo. The Spotted Pardalote, Pardalotus punctatus, is one of Australia’s smallest birds with a body length of only 9 cm. Pardalotes are foliage gleaners and are often hard to see despite their striking plumage because they forage high in the canopies of eucalypts. This male Spotted Pardalote was foraging in the crown of a Wandoo, Eucalyptus wandoo. Elevation: 344 m. Date added to IBC: April 21, 2018.
