Media notes
Western Bristlebird foraging. Cheynes Beach on the south coast of Western Australia is a stronghold of the vulnerable Western Bristlebird, Dasyornis longirostris. These primitive birds are reluctant to fly, and forage on the ground in dense heaths or more open heaths with dense shrubs. This bird was one of three seen and tolerated my close approach provided that I moved slowly and quietly. Elevation: 0 m. Date added to IBC: February 24, 2018.
