White-fronted Bee-eaters perching, calling and hawking for insects. White-fronted Bee-eaters (Merops bullockoides) are often seen perching together on low branches, flying off to hawk for flying insects. This small flock of adult and immature birds was perching in a shrub on the edge of the Shingwedzi River In Kruger National Park, preening, calling and hawking for prey. Cape Turtle Doves can be heard calling in the background. Elevation: 287 m. Date added to IBC: August 3, 2019.
