White-throated Swallow nestling with adult. The White-throated Swallow (Hirundo albigularis) is a fairly common intra-African migrant to South Africa, arriving in July-August and departing April-May. White-throated Swallows are usually found near waterbodies – this juvenile had fallen from its nest in the Island Point Hide in Rietvlei Nature Reserve and was attended by one of its parents. Elevation: 1481 m. Date added to IBC: June 12, 2018.
