Northern Double-collared Sunbird (Cinnyris reichenowi)

French: Souimanga de Preuss German: Nandinektarvogel Spanish: Suimanga de Preuss

Cinnyris reichenowi

, 1891,

Sotik, south-west Kenya

When species placed in genus Nectarinia, specific name becomes preoccupied and is replaced by name kikuyuensis; preussi then has date priority and becomes nominate. Proposed races genderuensis (from Genderu Mts, in Adamawa Plateau, in NC Cameroon) and parvirostris (from Bioko) considered inseparable from preussi. Two subspecies recognized.
