Introduction
A rather inconspicuous, plain-plumaged flycatcher of forest understory and edge habitats on the island of Sumba in the Lesser Sundas. The species has a complicated taxonomic history, having variably been placed in four different genera of flycatchers, and it is sometimes lumped with Flores Jungle Flycatcher (Eumyias oscillans). Most aspects of its life history remain poorly described, including its breeding biology and behaviors.
