Yellow-throated Leafbird (Chloropsis palawanensis)

Morphology had suggested closest relatives are C. cochinchinensis, C. jerdoni and C. kinabaluensis, but genetic data indicate paraphyly with C. cyanopogon and its subspecies C. c. septentrionalis#R; confirmation of latter arrangement needed. Monotypic.

W Philippines: Calamian Group (Calauit, Busuanga and Culion) and Palawan (including its satellites Dumaran and Balabac).
